The story behind Camelbak's origin is fantastic!  The first incarnation of the hydration bladder was a water-filled IV bag slipped into a sock and tucked safely away into the backpack of Michael Eidson....the tube clamped over the shoulder with a  safety pin. Whilst Eidson comfortably remained hydrated, his fellow cycling competitors continued to fumble with water bottles.
