Tents
If you're looking for a new tent for your next camping adventure, you've come to the right place! Welcome to Tentworld. We carry a huge range of tents for all purposes.
This is the majority of the different types of tents that we stock and their advantages:
- Fast Frame / Instant Tents
Fast Frame Tents is the broad description we use for a tent that is generally polyester (plastic) and uses an integrated steel pole frame. Because the inner of the tent is already attached, it makes pitching the tent faster than older style dome or cabin tents. Once you've pitched the inner, generally you then need to throw the fly (outer skin) over the tent. Then attach the fly to the inner, and peg it out. Fast frame tents are currently available from brands including Coleman and OZtrail. - BlackWolf Turbo Tents
Like Fast Frame Tents, Turbo tents also gain their speed by leaving the inner attached to the tent frame. The frame requires no assembly, and just unfolds. Then you throw the fly over too. Turbo tents however are deserving of being seperated from Fast Frame Tents, due to their different frame design that is both stronger, and easier to use. Turbo tents also come with the choice of fabrics. Either the more durable, but heavier canvas. Or the lighter, but less durable polyester. - OZtent RV Series - the 30 second tent.
The Oztent RV series uses an integrated pole system that allows a user to pitch their tent very quickly - in 30 seconds - not including pegging it out. These tents are fantastic for touring Australia with overnight stays. They are also fast and easy to packup. - Dome Tents
Dome tents are without a doubt the most popular style of tent seen in camp grounds and festivals around Australia. They're popular due to the huge amount of features and space they can offer, often for a relatively low price. We stock a huge range of dome tents from all the brands you trust, including, Oztrail, Coleman, Blackwolf, Companion, Sportiva and Roman. - Hiking / Bushwalking Tents
Hiking tents are popular for their small size and light weight. They are not just popular with those who plan on carrying them for many kilometres. Hiking tents are often sold to those who want to pack a tent into their car, without giving away a lot of space. They are sometimes used for an emergency campout beside the road. We keep a great, wide range of hiking tents to suit your next adventure whether it's to Mt Everest or your local national park. Brands include: MSR, Outer Limits, Blackwolf and OZtrail. - Cabin Tents
Cabin tents are one of the oldest designs around. If you went camping with your parents this is probably the type of tent you went camping with. You know what they say, when something ain't broke, you dont fix it. This definitely applies for the cabin tent. Their design is simple, and reliable yet it offers a large amount of open space perfect for longer camping holidays with your family. New cabin tents take advantage of modern manufacturing techniques and apply this to the old cabin tent design resulting in a more reliable, better value and higher quality tent than what was available for your parents and grandparents. Some newer cabin tents now utilise air pole technology that brings new life to these designs and once again make them relevant to the modern camper. - Rooftop Tents (RTT)
Roof top tents come in a variety of sizes and shapes to suit the needs of your vehicle, and the individuals. Roof top tents come in either a 'soft shell' which is usually a PVC cover over a canvas inner or a 'hard shell' a fibreglass, or plastic clam type cover that goes over the top of the canvas, and often forms part of the rooftop tent. - Tourer / Touring Tents - Fast Pitching Easy To Pitch Tents
Touring tents are sometimes known as Bus Tents, because many bus tour companies would choose them as their preferred tent. The bus companies chose them for the same reason holidayers do - they're durable, and fast to pitch. Often with a centre pole, they require few pegs and are also fast to pack away.
